1. IRobot Roomba i3+ EVO
The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are both identical robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. That makes the i3+ a great option for those who want a hands-off, fully automated cleaning experience but don't mind having to empty their dust bin manually as it gets full.
Both robots excel at picking up surface debris on hard floors and carpets, and they're excellent in moving around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software makes a smart map of your home to assist the i3+ to navigate and clean efficiently. However unlike the i7+ and other top-rated robots we evaluated the i3+ does not have any obstacle-avoidance features and therefore it could be stuck on things like power cords or socks, and may have issues traversing transitions across surfaces, such as from hardwood to rug.
iRobot suggests cleaning up the area where the i3+ EVO vacuums prior to using it. This includes getting rid of any toys or other items it might come across. It is also recommended to keep the filters and dust bin clear to avoid becoming clogged. If the i3+'s internal bin is empty or the battery is depleted, it returns to the docking station and automatically emptys the dirt into the docking station’s external dustbin. It then continues cleaning where it left off. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use. It takes around three hours to fully recharge.
2. iRobot Roomba i7+
The iRobot i7+ is an excellent model from iRobot's flagship line, and it comes with the most recent features. It's self-charging and self-navigating. the most important feature of all -- it has a self-emptying dustbin that eliminates one of the most important sources of maintenance for any robot vacuum.
The Roomba i7+ can keep up to 10 floor plans and their names using Imprint Smart Mapping, which lets it identify rooms to clean them more efficiently. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or via the app.
The i7+ is quicker and more maneuverable in our tests than the eufy RoboVac G30. It also cleaned large pet hair pieces from any surface, including carpeting. The main advantage it has over the Eufy is its self-emptying bin which eliminates major sources of maintenance and lowers the cost of recurring maintenance.
We were also amazed by the i7+'s integration with Amazon Alexa and Google Assistant AI services, which we used to instruct the robot to begin, stop or pause its cleaning session and to move around the room and vacuum an area. The process of connecting the i7+ to these services was simple and straightforward using the iRobot Home app. Once connected, to give voice commands to the i7+, like "Hey Alexa vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options for managing the i7+'s settings and monitoring its performance.
3. Dyson Cyclone V10
In a world of cordless vacs that look like minivans or buses, this small Dyson model is a sports car. The V10 is powered by a seven-cell, energy-dense lithium-ion battery that produces energy that is not faded for 60 minutes. The advanced whole-machine filter system traps allergens, then releases fresh air into your home. It quickly switches from handheld vacuum to floor vacuum and back.
This model comes with a dock that can charge the Dyson to 100 percent in 3.5 hours. It also gives an easy access to two attachments as well as the handheld. This is a significant improvement over earlier Dysons which require a long charge and are difficult to store.
The V10's main drawback is its short running time. The claims of its marketing that it can provide up to 60 minutes of running time are misleading, as CR's testing shows. This is an average and not a remarkable run time for a battery-powered cordless vac. This is enough time to vacuum a typical-sized home however, it's not enough time to reach every area. (A second run generally works). This model has its own advantages however: it's lighter and more mobile than previous Dysons cordless models and its ability to vacuum is noticeable superior on low-pile floor carpet.
4. iRobot Roomba 694
The 694 is a basic robot vacuum that's a great option for those who don't have lots of money to invest in an expensive robot. It was able to remove all kinds of debris and sizes in our testing and often went over the same area multiple times to ensure an extensive clean. Its flat front side helps it to reach into corners and along the edges of walls and walls, which is a nice addition.
Its navigation system is smart and uses iAdapt to avoid obstacles and navigate around your home, but it lacks the mapping capability of more advanced models like our top picks and the i3+ EVO and j7+ series. As a result, it may get stuck on things like phone cords and furniture that isn't as sturdy, and frequently will run out of battery before returning to its home base.
The Xiaomi Mi robot vacuum is superior to the Roomba 694 in most respects in that it has fewer components that require regular cleaning, is fitted with an allergen-trapping HEPA filter, incurs lower costs for recurring maintenance, has more advanced automation capabilities and is more efficient in maneuvering itself. It also has a bigger dustbin and charges quicker.
The eufy RoboVac X8 has a superior battery life than the Roomba 694. It also has physical boundaries and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more robust, has a larger motor, and is more effective on floors with bare or low-pile.

In our testing our tests, the Jet Bot AI+ excelled on hard floors, and also handled dog hair (on carpet) quite well, clearing up 86 percent of it. It didn't do very well in avoiding taller items such as cords or socks. This was disappointing. It's also more expensive than other models that we tested, and this could be a problem for some buyers.

This feature lets you to monitor your children or pets while you're away. The dustbin and the filter can be cleaned to ensure an easy, quick clean-up.
